Chicago HOPES for Kids Branding
Chicago HOPES for Kids provides comprehensive support to Chicago students and families experiencing homelessness. We are committed to our children’s educational development and long-term empowerment through academic support, dedicated mentorship and basic needs services.
BFF worked with Chicago HOPES in a two phase project for rebranding. We paired CHK with Chicago design firm, GUMBO Media.
Phase I: To help clarify CHK’s brand strategy, by identifying what makes them unique and how to tell their story.
Phase II: To create a visual identity that best illustrates their brand identity.

Implementation
After Phase I and II, we realized that Chicago HOPES needed impactful photos on their website. They needed photos of their programming and consistent staff photography. We provided an additional stipend for that work.
The first step was to look at their brand messaging: this included what the brand story, values and tone were.
